1 Nephi 6-10

A wonderful principle is given here. The most important thing for us to know is how to come to God. Lehi knows that his sons need companions and he encourages them to return to Jerusalem and speak to a family friend whose name is Ishmael. He has sons and daughters. You will recall that in the previous accounts of the trips back to Jerusalem, Laman and Lemuel, gave resistance all the way. Now we see that not a comment was made with regards to going back again. In fact it is like all concerned, "RAN" to find a spouse. But on the way back again resistance is found and Nephi is bound with the intent to be killed by wild animals, thus Laman and Lemuel to become Murderers. Now we feast upon the words of God delivered to Lehi in a dream/vision. the wonderful story of the Tree of Life (Love of God), Straight and Narrow Path and Iron Rod (Scriptures), Filthy River (Sin), Dark and dreary mist (Temptation), Spacious Field (World), Large and Spacious Building floating in the air (Pride and arrogance of the World). Not all that was witnessed could be written. That which was of a higher plane was not. It will be during the Millenial Rule of Christ is my supposition. Now we are to feast upon a wonderful prophecy that Nephi receives. He is shown that in 600 years from the time they leave Jerusalem Christ, the Lord, will come, teach the gospel, and be offered as a ransom for our pain and sin.
